I take it all back it is positively egalitarian ..I mean what else can you think if a fee paying school where 30 % get assistance and 10 % of places are free [ if off course you pass the entrance exam which costs £25 and is non refundable - its is free if your parents are unemployed though] if you are bright enough.

Well as I was born and grew up in its shadows and have parent's friends who benefitted directly from its more generous endowments years ago, please excuse me if I draw a different conclusion. But feel free to make jibes at a school that demonstrates among the highest standards of academic excellence in the country - its an easy target of course, bit like a choc ice! Good night.

Like the rich would pay 10 k a year if it did not get better results they are rich not stupid. I am not having a jibe I am simply saying it is elitist - and you are left with emotive appeals and some spin from the Chief Master to counter this or you could just look at the admission stats.

As ever though, context is key. It's just a word made of six letters but the lips that speak it and the context in which it's spoken or written are what give the word its power. One assumes that the great majority of uses of the word between black people are not in a racist context.
If people express controversial opinions or are offensive in public, is it suddenly trivial because they happen to do it on Facebook?
I think the problem here is not that the opinion is more or less offensive or controversial depending on which medium carries it, it's that the criminal law shouldn't be used for prosecuting people for making controversial or offensive comments.

The only way in which I think it's dubious is it seems to be making the assumption that certain types of behaviour are inherently 'black' and others are 'white' - whereas largely it's not really a great idea to generalise.
Otherwise when black people listen to Indie or Classical music you could say they are not being true to themselves, which is obviously pretty silly.
