MegaSack DRAW - This year's winner is user - rgwb
We will be in touch
I am now in my 40th year and unfortunately my hairline is not how I'd like it to be.
Male pattern baldness has reared it's ugly head and decided it wants me to have a Wayne Rooney hairline. Is it now time to embrace my middle aged balding head and shave it off? If I do should I go grade 1,2 or 3?
Help me decide STW. 🙂

Or just be yourself 😉
In my experience women like baldness and grey hair 😀 long as you're not too porky..
Grade 2 to start with then once you've got fed up of having to shave constantly go to grade 1 ... I am on grade 0 at the moment and soon I will go Kojak.
Full head of hair here at 44, all taken down to grade 1.
What do you do for a living ?number 1 on a big bloke can make you look like a thug not good in certain jobs!!
Ha Ha check out the hair adds >>>>>>>
Depends, we need pIcs.
Oh the irony of the STW nickname 😆 maybe have to change that to Mulletus Minimus
PS I'm a grade 2 btw
In my experience women like baldness and grey hair
Not grey yet. Still got that to look forward to.

Engineer and weigh about 80kgs.
Absolutely anything but a combover.
I used to live next door to a guy with a combover and I had to try really hard not to laugh every time I saw him.
Do as you feel. You can be balding with hair or you can buzz it as so many do and we'll all know you are balding and hiding it in plain sight.
A colleague of mine has a comb over and spends the whole day positioning it so not to reveal the extent of his baldness. Quite funny when out in the wind with him though. 😀
grade 1, anything else is hippy long!
and if you buy clippers you will save a fortune on haidressers.
zero
Haha baldie!! Bad luck. Although I did hear that men who lose their hair usually have more testosterone and are more feisty and up for it in certain departments.... 😆 😳
If you have hair, flaunt it! Haven't seen you without a helmet for quite a while so can't believe that you're needing to take drastic action.
Ignore all the jealousy on here too. 🙂
Hair is square. Lose it!
What's left of my hair is blonde and super thin. I go grade 2. My level of baldness could probably use a 1 but I look totally bald with 1, and I'm not terribly comfortable with it.
When I'm skinny, perhaps 🙂
But definitely buy clippers.
Got to be a number 1.
Anything more and you start on the sliding scale of Former Tory Party Leaders
Number 2 and you start to resemble William Hague as it grows out
Number 3 or above and its Iain Duncan-Smith
Owt above that and you're into Michael Howard territory
Grade 1. Loving my slappy head, and get girls to put their cold hands on it. mmmmmmmmm 🙂
Get clippers and save a fortune on haircuts. And shampoo. And no messing about drying it after a shower.
My dad's 76 and has more hair than me. Mine went in my twenties.
Embrace it, not much else you can do without looking a tit.
There's something really liberating about getting up on a Monday morning, shaving your head in a couple of minutes then jumping in the shower safe in the knowledge your Haircare routine is now done and dusted for the week
Number 1 buzz-cut - the preferred haircut of the idle bastard for time immemorial 🙂
Millennium comb over since late teens here. Slightly over weight too so may well look like a thug but my rakish good looks make up for it. Now using wahl balding clippers which cut most as close as a blade. Do it!

Will do it on Saturday. It can be part of my weekly grooming sessions. Trim hair and shave legs. 🙂
Will not miss the chore of having to get my hair cut every six weeks though, but I will miss the lovely ladies in the salon. 😥
What clippers would people recommend? Looking at Wahl for around £30. Clicky
Bollox to grade one, forget about the attachments and just use the bare clippers.
Been doing it for years. I am a very big bloke and do look like a thug, but that's other peoples perceptions, not mine. Who gives a toss what they think anyway.
Just did mine a couple of hours ago, wouldn't have it any other way.
Been shaving my hair for years now, been through a variety of rechargeable clippers but they never last. Go for these: http://shavers.co.uk/shopping.php?product_id=444. Indestructible, quiet, decent range of length options. Fantastic service from shavers.co.uk too.
Grade 2, grade 1 is just the wrong side of short.
It's not that bad at the moment, you could probably drag it out for another year or so. Mind you, i know what you pay for a haircut so i'd have it off now to save the money :-). (ya bald ....!)
40 and balding, lucky you, i went through that in my early twenties.
Grade 1 or less for me now.
However, during my walk of the south west i went for 3-4 months without a trim and it got a touch dreadful looking.
I did style it for a house warming party in the style of Keith Flints(but not green)
Here it is at it's worse, the beard had been trimmed a little more recently.
Gawjus aren't i? 😉

At the time i could do a double comb over but couldn't get it to stay put so that it met in the middle.
