[Closed] Converted cellar - Mould/Fungus wood problem?

We had a cellar converted 3 years ago in to a kitchen, utility area and snug area for Jnr FD.

About 6 months ago we got a untreated wooden pine toy house Jnr FD and within a month it had like a green mould on it, which smelt quite strong.

I cleaned it up (just wiped off) and it appeared fine for 2-3 months. However now, it is going green again. Also the pine doors in the cellar are starting to go green too, but only at the bottom.

I cant work out if its a mould/fungus that is spreading or if it is just the fact that we need to ventilate the cellar more.

Any ideas?

You did have it tanked?

Edit: assuming you did, then there should be a warranty with the work - give them a call.

Yep it was tanked, no visible signs of damp any where though, just the untreated pine.

get someone in with a moisture meter and get the tanking checked.

could be moist air from the rest of the house settling in the cellar and then condensing.

Maybe just get a dehumidifier in there - they cost pennies to run.
