A couple of months I purchased a couple of Groupon deals for printed canvases from Ocean Photo Services. The value was not huge (about £30 in total iirc) and I payed £5.95 in P&P direct into Ocean's bank account. Having chased them a couple of times and had no response for 6 weeks I contacted Groupon, Ocean then got in contact and said that they were missing a voucher code (they were but why not mention that 6 weeks before when they recieved the order). Since then I have chased a few more time and heard nothing. I've now contacted Groupon who said that their 'partner' has to send me confirmation of cancellation before they can refund and that the 'partner' was responsible for refunding the p&p.

There is no number I can call Ocean and they are not responding to emails. A Google search tells me that others have had bad experiences with Ocean. What are my consumer rights with Groupon? Are they in effect a retailer of Oceans goods?
I'm very disappointed by Groupon's response to this and it's a warning to anyone who thinks that Groupon might vet it partners and offer protection against rogue ones.

Go to your local Trading Standards dept......
TBH I had this with Groupon last year, purchased something, phoned the 'partner' to arrange but never any answer. Groupon told me to keep trying and then they put the same offer back on their site 2 days later. Phoned and emailed them to complain and they refunded immediately.

Had similar issue, complained to Groupon a few times - they refunded.
Keep complaining....it's in our nature and you get better the more you do it!
