Buying a new highish-end PC, but barely know the first thing about monitors.
Probably looking at a full HD 24" one I guess (they don't do 27.5" unfortunately) and prices range from £100 to £200-plus on sites I've checked.
Is there much benefit to an IPS one? It's for my home office where it'll be used for web-editing, bit of basic photo manipulation, video playback and occasional video editing.
Cheers.
If you're doing colour-critical work, you'll probably have to double your budget to get anything half decent. If not, just do a web search for 'best monitor for £200', plenty of reviews for such budgets. This one (link) even has a 27" option for £210.
Thanks for the reply.
No, just dong basic cropping and merging of news photos for use in web articles.

IPS monitors are great for normal and photo use. I'd avoid 27" monitors unless you get a 1440p one, otherwise the pixel density isn't great (I have 3x27 1080p, great for gaming, not so nice for photos and text). There are some great 23" IPS bargains to be had as most people search for 24"
Something like this is probably a good shout:

Or some more, might be cheaper elsewhere this was just a quick look:
Very useful thanks, 23in would be perfectly adequate for my needs.
🙂
