Flew with Continental Airlines to San Salvador and they mislaid my luggage. It turned up a day later. Hurricane Irene meant that my flights back via NY work were cancelled. I could only get on a plane 7 days later so I was stuck in a hotel in El Tunco for an extra week (it was tough!) Is it worth trying to claim any compensation for inconvenience and extra expense? Any informed advice would be gratefully received.
not sure if the european rules apply to flights into the EU or only within it but they'd be my first port of call.
