I [s]cook[/s] keep the books for a club and for years have run the account with HSBC - at the time we opened it they were one of the few that did free banking for clubs, but IIRC they were still called the Midland.
We're finally starting to turn a decent profit so have a few grand sat in our savings account, but we're getting a stonking 0.0something% interest on that now.
Are there any decent club friendly accounts around that might actually pay more than a pittance in interest?

clubs don't make a profit, they make a surplus 😉
you'll be lucky to get free banking plus interest anywhere, I'd imagine.
