Going from SWales tomorrow to Wolverhampton then on to Newcastle / Middlesborough Wednesday back through Leeds / Wakefield Thursday

Any locals give me a heads up before attempting?

This is Leeds/Wakefield border currently. Roads aren't great TBH, would expect them to be better by Thurs though.

I'm in Hexham. Conditions probably a bit better than woody's pic above. Towards the coast (ie Newcastle) its more like sleet than snow apprently.

Newcastle's roads were fine today - a bit of slush but nothing drastic. Got to Middlesbrough on the A19 fine today, although the rest of the population on the road were driving even slower than usual for some reason.

The roads around Leeds are going to be shut on Thursday*

Have a look through the BBC Traffic Webcams to check the route

For example: http://www.bbc.co.uk/travelnews/manchester/trafficcameras

Worked well for me last year and last Thursday/Friday
