I mean I like Chillies in Chilli Con Carne. and I love cheese in anything. But during a sustained attack of the cheese board last night, I was tricked into trying this desperate marriage of two right things. And it makes a very, very, very wrong thing. If you've seen what happens in The BoxTrolls when Archibald Snatcher tries to eat cheese, that's the face I was making 😉

Tell me I'm not alone in wanting to banish this dangerous fusion from civilised cheese society?

Dunno about chilli in cheese, I'd generally avoid it, suspicious that its just trying to cover up an average-at-best cheese...however, Tracklements chilli jam with good cheese is a match made in heaven. Compliments a strong blue brilliantly, but goes well with anything. Has to be Tracklements...I've tried others and they're shiiite.

Big fan of chillies in cheese. Big fan of chillies in a lot of thing but oddly not chocolate. Really cannot get on with that.

Chilli cheese is awesome. As for the child jam. NOTHING comes close to making your own with your home grown chillis. It's stupidly easy and tastes ace

I love chilli on most things, including cheese. Whenever I'v bought chilli cheese though, it's been horrible. But I suspect that has more to do with the cheese it's been bundled with.

No no no no no.
No.

When I buy good cheese, I want to able to taste it.
Not the sweepings from the deli floor.

See also pate, spirits and pretty much everything else.

And once again, no.

Buy good cheese with chilli in, you can then taste the chilli cheese.

Weirdos.

Seriously, in a sane world this filth would be banned and people would have to ruin their own cheese.
At home.
Where normal people don't have to watch.

I like Chilli cheese. Booths do one with lime and chilli, which is a bit like lime pickle with cheese. It is a combination that works better than you might expect.

Yes chilli in cheese is wrong.

Call me old fashioned but I like my cheese to taste of cheese, my tea to taste of tea and my beer to taste of beer all unadulterated by chilli, herbs, fruit, honey or any other such nonsense.

However what people want to do in the privacy of their own homes....

Well I've come back to this thread, and my disappointment is palpable. Having investigated the provenance of the 'Devil's Curd', it appears it was that one from Morrisons. I maintain the kindest thing would have been to seal it in a airless container and fire it into space, yet I see my opinion is lost in the landscape of the confused.

Toast in tea I get. Chocolate in Chilli I get. No problem with those combo's. But chilli in cheese? It's beyond wrong and out the other side.

Chilli cheese is a fine invention- first introduced to me via a Wendy's Pepper Jack Cheeseburger, circa 1995. Didn't put me off and all subsequent, more refined iterations are all welcome.

Best ever breakfast/quick dinner/tea- mushrooms fried with chilli, on toast with Philadelphia cheese scrambled egg... 8)

Strong mature Cheddar plus chilli jam! Nom nom nom!
I usually use Wiltshire Chilli Farm sweet chilli jam, but I'll see if I can find the Tracklements version. I used to be involved with the printing of all their labels, the original art was all hand-written by William Tulberg, who set up the business.
Always pleased to see they're still going.

Adding chilli in the cheese making process just illustrates the paucity of their talent for cheese making. Adding chilli to cheese post production is personal choice which I am all for.

Chilli - great
Cheese - great
Chilli jam with cheese - great
Chilli cheese - hmmm

Don't really agree with any cheese with bits in TBH.
