Had my car window smashed in this fairest of cities. I was wondering if anyone has any good local companies they'd recommend that're cheap and not *too* far from the centre before I ring round the obvious ones on google?
Cheers!
Try Autoglass first. You'll likely find that you can have it replaced without it affecting your NCD.
It's more the £250 excess that's the limiting factor with insurance.
Autoglass, I think smaller companies can't match the clout of such a big chain.
Is there such a big excess on a windscreen replacement?
Commercial policy unfortunately.
just my tuppenceworth, having mines replaced (this is down in east mids so cant give company) but autoglass were WAY more expensive than local guys quotes.....
my insurance didnt cover windscreen without excess either, so cheaper to go direct.
Where I work, we've recently changed providers from Autoglass to RAC windscreens. I believe this was largely price driven.
Sorted, phoned autoglass and they were £100 more than a company called Premier who even come to you for free.
Cheers for the advice guys.
