Since win10 arrived on my pc, i cant make my printer work. SWMBO has a multi colour wireless A3 thing that i can never make work.
All i want to do is print the odd document and not have to pay more than the initial purchase price for a new cartridge every few months.
Any suggests for cheap simple robust?

Something like a Samsung 2026 mono laser will cost you about £35 and be pretty cheap to run.
Inkjets are shit for this these days as you have to put all the colour cartridges in too, and they run out and it wont print.
It does depend on the inkjet. Mine will happily print mono even when all the colour tanks are empty (canon mg8100).
But in essence I agree that a mono laser is the better option.
+1 for mono laser. Whatever current HP/Samsung/Brother you can get for £40 or so. They come with a half full toner but it'll still last ages
Another vote for a mono laser - cheap and chips (well, maybe not quite that cheap). The issue with inkjets (well, mine anyway) is that the print heads would dry through lack of use so I'd be constantly running the cleaning cycle.
The mono gets used a few times a month and just works first time, every time.
