😆

I know - I understand what alchohol is but is reading % by volume a sign of an addiction? 🙄

So what do you recommend for the summer barbi?

You should know by now that the only beer tolerated round these parts is something cloudy, warm, undrinkable and with a wacky name.

I'm with you though TS. Beck's is £4 for 6 bottles at Morissons.

Warm and cloudy is good - believe me when you hail from a country where the choice is 'Guinness' or 'Bass' cloudy variety is to be welcomed - just not at a bar-b-que

sc-xc that's the idea!

LOL @ Doc - sounds like you had enough last night mate.

Following on from you earlier thread - and assuming you can actually read this at this time - how is the Ahem! 'comical bovine'?

She's fine now. Got one of those casts that go from the shoulder the whole way down to the fingers, about two hundred weird bites all over her legs and a good stash of codeine.

I could do with some of that codeine myself today... 😥

Oddbins permanently have Super Bock or Quilmes on 6 for £5

A million times nicer than Bud, Miller, Becks, Carling, Pisswater etc

Tesco's have been knocking out beer on all sorts of deals for a while now. My faves are the 3 for 2 on Speckled Hen and London Pride making it, give or take a couple of pence, a pound a bottle/pint.
Chill it and serve with BBQ sausages mmmm. It's all about taste not strength. If I wanted to fall over I'd take the bike out. All that money on full suspension and I'm still crap! No wonder I drink!

FFS! Lads - its bar-be weather!

Here's the idea..

(a) You see a blindingly good deal
(b) You post it here preferably with

£Price £Reduction Quantity and £/litre if poss - I thought it was easy

First off - nobody is asking you to drink fizzy Pi$$ water

Secondly G - I seem to remember leading out of Reeth on the Sunday with a line of green faces behind me??!!! 😛

Is it just me that finds high alcohol beer slightly lacking in taste?
To me - anything much over 5% seems to have the beer taste overloaded by the taste of the alcohol.

Chortle 😆

Hairychested - bloody hell mate! Last time I saw stuff like that it had NASA written on the side of it! 7.1% - there must be a formula for costing best value in £/litres taking into account alcohol content?

to add to the Lidl beers prices

frikinbrau (or somethinge - green label in bottles or cans) and graff-somethinge with a more pale yellow label - both brewed to german purity laws - both lovely lagers (in the proper sense, rather than cheap pee pee water that is UK brewed stella/fosters etc.) i think cans of frik is about 49p for a small can, and 79p for the other one in a 440/500ml can or it can be had a little more expensive in glass bottles
or the churchwardens cider at 99p a pint bottle.

I don't wear lycra... In any case, you'd need to move a lot faster than you did to catch me 😉
