.... on a Golf mk4 is a right PITA!!! 👿
After 10 mins standing in the freezing wind with my hand almost stuck in the engine bay, I managed to remove the off side bulb, then another 10 mins for the near side. Maybe should have just taken the bumper off and removed the whole headlight
Oh well, all done now.

I paid the Halfords monkey £5 after experiencing the same. Was fun watching him skin has knuckles. Did it though, and quicker than I managed in situ.

maybe mines was easy because i have the toy engine with loads of room in the engine bay. hardest bit was extracting the bulb that escaped into the light glass body
