We've been with Tiscali, TalkTalk for many years but have now decided enough is enough and we're about to give notice to move.

a) any recommendations? We have a Sky package so it feels like a naturally step to bundle and just pay for one provider, no?
b) is there any easy way of managing the migration as we move and ultimately change email addresses (and log-ins for every damn thing), or do we just need to bite the bullet?

Ta!

a) are you looking for ADSL or VDSL (fibre to the cab)?

b) Use a non-ISP email provider (Gmail, Hotmail, Proton Mail and a supporting cast of thousands).

I moved from TalkTalk to Sky and it was fine, no dramas. Been with them since.

You may be able to keep the talk talk email but I agree with Cougar, use a generic email supplier in the future, much easier.

Was defaulted into TalkTalk after they took on AOL UK, but we wanted superfast and they weren't ready, so switched to a Virgin bundle. No issues, it just worked, but with Virgin running in their own cable, we had an overlap week or more of both working. Still with AOL email addresses working fine.

Okay thanks.
We currently have fibre afaik.
As per cougar comment - I may even have an old gmail address that I could readopt.
Midlife, are you suggesting that it's possible to retain my old TalkTalk email with a new bundle provider?
Sorry if I'm being thick!

As far as I know, the AOL.com emails were never under TalkTalk ownership but are now run by Oath/AOL/Verizon/Yahoo/HuffPo or whoever they are now and should continue as long as they want to keep old email customers. TalkTalk's own customers get at least a year to continue to use the email, and can ask for more after that.

Ah, perfect. Many thanks it was that transition period I was concerned about. That seems reasonable to sort the shizzle out.

The leaving/joining process is very easy these days: just contact the provider you want to go to and they do the rest.

Be aware that if you're in contract with a TalkTalk, then you may be liable to pay early termination charges.

In terms of your email address, you can keep it for a while (used to be indefinitely). However, I suggest you do as Cougar says and move yourself to gmail or hitmail and then you don't need to worry about tying your email to any service provider.

To be honest we would massively prefer you not to leave - if you have service issues PM me (email in profile) and I'll see what I can get sorted for you.
