I have 50w halogen 12v downlights throughout my house each one connected to individual transformers. Have had them for about 12 years. 'Mrs Crookofdevon' said ask that lot on singletrack who always seem to be experts on everything whether it is worth changing them. Ideas/thoughts please - cost, energy use, how long do the bulbs last? Is it all a bit of a con really? I have about 80 throughout the house.

dont bother going to transformed ones. Stick with GU10, but LED.
There's a few threads in here recently
