What do those that know the place well reckon to sticking to Cham in Feb after the mid-station fire? Still worth it or too many queues with a major lift out of action?

Book late, get a good deal? Lots of other skiing in the valley,

Some of the group already have airbnb booked - guess the q relates to enough other skiing to keep everybody happy or whether the other areas might be rammed.  Been a while since I was there so can't remember what the impact of that cable might be to queues

I’d still go, Plan Joran will still be running and has a much higher capacity than Lognan. February is always a bit manic so just time when you get the lifts, avoid going at ski school time, ski through lunch etc. And it’ll be fine. I’m going for a long weekend in January and not worried, loads to go at. Might even do a day in Courmayeur.

tub - thanks, didn't know the other lift was bigger.  Is the summit out of action with the damage to the Lognan?

The people most affected will be the tourers since so many tours start on the Montets. I guess they can still skin up though.
