Hi,
I need a CCTV camera with audio to monitor my dogs alleged barking.
I was just about to buy a DVR kit from Maplins but noticed that none of the cameras seem to come with audio.
Could someone please point me in the direction of a 'good' camera?
Cheers
Paul.
why not just use one of those el'cheapo microsd card cameras that were on a ST thread recently. you can set them up to be sound activated, cost about £30 and good enough quality for what you're after.
EDIT: a bit like this

or a webcam and some audio/movement triggered capture software
I was going to be fitting CCTV for security purposes at some point anyway but this has brought it forward.
I had considered a PC based system but can't be bothered with the cabling as getting to any of the PC will be a pain. Whereas I can just base the system in a cupboard and not have to worry about the cable runs affecting decorating etc.

You still have to have the same interfaces between DVR and camera as you would between PC and camera?
Possibly simpler: If you have a computer with a webcam at home, just leave it on and signed into your Skype account #1, and have Skype set to "automatically accept incoming calls" from Skype account #2. Then open Skype account #2 from work and call every so often.
catspy. Only in this case it'll be dogspy.
Trade your dog in for a Basenji - end of problem 😉
I wouldn't worry. I fired a shot over it's head earlier. Haven't heard a peep from it since.
