Got the new pope mobile today and need to obscure the back windows to make it look less "special"
I reckon the film on Ebay looks a good bet.

How easy is it to fit/trim to shape?
Does it go on the inside (presume so)

cheers

RR, I wouldnt. It'll bubble/ripple etc when the car steams up/heats in summer etc. It'll end up looking like a Paedo's kiddie pickup van. When you drive into an area parents will whisk their kids in doors!

Professional tinting costs c£100- if your keeping the car well worth it IMO.

Ps. Are you doing a Pimp my ride? What next 1,000watt DVD player system with nailbar in there??? 😆

shouldn't that be:
5 of the ** yikes ** to do?

Oh, and that film is pretty tricky to apply. Make sure you get the silver reflective stuff so that you can pretned that you've got a Lexus.

Thats allround RR. My Forester is like a greenhouse due to the huge amount of glass allround. I was going to get it done before Summer to stop me from roasting. Professional places quote 100-120 MAX. If the car sounds less bling they drop their prices plus you can choose any (legal) tint shade.

I done my own but the rear glass wasn't easy by any means, and you do see more DIY jobs looking awful than decent. Depends how curved the glass is.

a couple of hours. I'd say best to take it to them if they have an indoor place and.......make sure they give you a no-quibble guarantee in writing.

Remember - if it's anything other than slightly tinted you can't have it on any of the front windows

if doing it yerself use plently of water. 'float' the tint into place.
trim after.

its much much better/easier if the glass is removed from the vehicle. (unless you have bonded windows)

It is my understanding that any non-factory modifications have to be declared to your insurance company. Aand why bother risking it? Save £10 a year on your policy fee, only to be told your insurance is invalid in the event of a claim.
