your indicating to turn right set off and then see car coming in opposite direction

you haven't crossed into their carriage way and stop before making the turn

car coming in opposite direction brakes because he sees you and thinks you going to continue...this is from a fast A road left turn into a T ....car behind does same and runs into back of him

Who's going to get a letter int post even though they weren't involved in collision

Car behind that failed to stop in time would be mostly at fault IMO.

As above. Car behind should have been at a safe distance and/or paying better attention.

Sounds like you stopped in plenty of time given a change in circumstances making your manoeuvre unsafe. a head on would have been very nasty and the person behind probably would have piled into that and made it worse.

You'll be fine Phill, you've sycophantic flunkies in high places, the law isn't something you should worry about.

Very good adave2, 🙂
Did the first braking car get punted into you? Either way, I don't see how there's any actual evidence of your action causing it. 2nd driver didn't leave sufficient braking distance.

Not an actual crash , but possibly the worst bit of driving I have witnessed in a long time.
Off set cross roads on 2 x A roads , primary route being a dual carriageway ( A29 ) fully light controlled.
Lass in a Saxo comes up behind me approaching the DCW on our A road, swings off in the wrong direction against flow of traffic on the DCW slip road onto our road. No oncoming cars
Proceeds in the wrong direction down the DCW against flow of traffic, cars appraoching but some way away.
She then swung it across the other 2 lanes of the DCW heading in the other direction without slowing and into the approach lane of the A road heading toward the DCW and lights toward our direction of travel

Lots of blaring horns , but at 20.00 on a Sat night most cars were heading for MaccyD's on the junction She was a very lucky girl to have escaped a serious high speed collision
