Does anyone know of any price comparison sites for car hire that allow you to restrict the fuel policy when searching, i.e. don't include ones that have a 'pay for a full tank of fuel at inflated prices on arrival and return empty' policy
I always take the pick up full, drop off full option.
However had an interesting one recently, picked up a car at Barcelona airport (Avis) and they required a receipt showing where I filled up if I returned the car full.
It was one of those lights go out type fuel gauges, so guess they are worried that people could do about 50miles from filling up and it would still show full.
In the past I have collected a car, used it in the local area for a couple of days and dropped it off with it still showing full. Just make sure they sign off your hire before leaving. 🙂
I once hired a diesel Toyota Aygo, I thought the gauge must be broken as it took so long before it dropped from being 'full' 🙂
Car hire in Mallorca is £££££££
When you get a quote it shows an icon for 'fair fuel'
