I've used Google Sketchup in the past- a long time ago but it seems to have changed. I need a simple online piece of software which I can use to do plans for a building regs application.

Small job- taking out walls/steels inserting & French Doors where the windows are, but I need to attach a drawing.

Any recommendations? Much appreciated.

I'd talk to the building control dept. If you're a domestic customer, they may be happy with 'photos and sketches.

Pen and graph paper still appears to be acceptable

However Sketchup is still very straight forward, worth a second look I'd say.

If you are doing it on a building notice you won't really need anything much. A sketch should do. If you do want to do some drawings Draftsight is good for technical 2d drawings.

I had a wall taken out and the Structural Engineer's plans were just a couple of pages of his A4 notebook photocopied. Crude sketches and hopefully accurate calcs.
