Yep, click bait titles are a PITA, and it would be better if people didn't use 'em.
What we need is to just put the first post of each thread on the home page, no title at all. That’ll work.

Nah, it's cryptic titles that do my head in. Some smart arse thinks they're being clever but it just means more duplicate threads for the mods to clear up.
