Whenever I look for cheap, bulky second hand stuff on ebay, like a shed or paving slabs, I search by distance. There always seems to be a shop a few miles away selling hundreds of them brand new though, so that I have to scroll through several pages of their stuff to get to the proper auctions.

Is there an easy way to not show items from a particular seller in the listings ?

You can filter out 'new' and just leave 'used' results - does that not work?

Well, yes, sort of, but I can't filter by two criteria at the same time.
If I filter by "Used", the first one I looked at is in Kent, about 200 miles away, which is a bit far to fetch a cheap second hand shed.

It doesn't help that some shops put the occasional Auction in their Buy It Now lists and some private sellers will put a Buy It Now price on an old shed or slabs to sell it quick, so I can't filter out the shops that way either.

yes you can filter by both distance and used but you may need to each one as an operation on its own- it does not matter which way round you do it

used then distance
or
distance then used

Under seller on the LHS, click 'choose more' then first radio button. Enter the seller ID in the 'exclude' box....bingo

EDIT - it's not 'choose more' it's 'specify seller'

Is there a keyword in their auction titles which is unique ? If so prefix the keyword with a minus symbol "-" to exclude auctions using that word.

So :-

paving slabs -keyword

where "keyword" is a unique word in your local sellers titles.

Edit: Or what sc-xc said 🙂

Tick the "used" box, then sort by distance (drop down at the top of the list).

OK thanks. I tried the Customise View > Advanced Options thing and ticked the Distance & Used boxed, but it didn't make any difference.
The Specify Seller works, although there's at least three shed manufacturers within 20 miles of me, so I have to specify them all.
It would be nice if there was a simple "Exclude items from anyone who has got more than 5 items for sale in this category" button.

There is an easier way to exclude a seller without all that faffing about! Just click on "advanced search" then scroll to near the bottom of the page to see the option.
