was just wondering if i could get a virtual synth to attempt some ambient/vangelis type musings (but am not musically gifted 😳 i have seen many programs on google,but do not know which to go for (i do not have an actual synth)thanking you in advance 😀

It's been a while since I've bothered about freeware vst synths but Greenoaks Crystal was really good for something free for quite a while.

You'll need other pieces of equipment though - a soundcard/audio interface with drivers that allow you to play without latency and obviously a keyboard to play in the notes. You might want to have a sequencer to record into and layer tracks. Reaper is very good for this but no longer free I believe.
