[Closed] Campsite near Drumlanrig

penpont leisure just outside thornhill. We stayed there 2 weeks ago.3 miles from drumlanrig,12 miles from ae and about half an hour from mabie. Only takes about five tents lovely quiet clean well maintained site. We liked it that much we have already booked again for august.

Stayed at Mabie House in the camping pods/ garden sheds last week, were acceptable - I know not quite Drumlanrig but not million miles away either. Have three that alledgedly sleep four but reckon 3 max, was fine with two of us and the bikes in the shed for night. Ful Scottish breakfast for £6.50 next day to and on site bar. As say not stunning but better than if raining and have to deal with wet kit/ tents, also bike wash too.

steviep thanks for the site recommendation, it was spot on. The owners even lent us some chairs when we realised I'd forgotten to pack ours - thus saving my bacon 😉
