Hi, can anyone recomend a campsite just outside thieving distance? Got a long weekend next week and fancy getting away again. Never been to south wales so should be good fun!

there is a campsite at the cycle centre at glyncorrwg just down the road from afan, prob about 5 mins drive if that.

good mountain biking at glyncorrwg and riding/driving distance for afan.

loads of midges when we went thouhg in the ev, and my gf got bitten really badly, so would recommend taking something that might help that situation.

That's where all the thieving has been in the past

Try the one at the Afan visitor centre

Just came back from Afan we stayed at the Camping & Caravan site
about 5 miles away.
Was good but basic and no trouble all for £ 5 pound each a night
There is a pub about 1.5 miles away that does good basic food too.

I stay at a Caravanning & Camping Club Certificated Location site at Neath Abbey, it's about 9 miles away from Afan. There's a shower and electric hook-up, it's nice. It's out the back of the farm, so I always feel secure there.

Ty-Canol Farm - Tina Marvin is the lady you need to speak to... she's very nice. Tell her Karin recommended (woman with LMC caravan/bikes/Dobermann.)

You can buy a terrace house in Neath for the same price as two night's camping.
