Stayed at a wigwam at Strathfillan at the weekend and the on site shop had an incredibly choice of meats for the BBQ - ostrich, bison, buffalo, crocodile, zebra, to name a few.

The camel steaks were delicious and surprisingly didn't taste like chicken but very tender beef. Amongst many other meats they also had kangaroo but I couldn't bring mysellf to eat skippy.

Thats all, just thought I'd share.

I did expect camel to be quite mutton like but it was a very tender cut of steak and very much like cow.

Depends which bit of the camel you're eating - they look like a bit of a cut and shut to me, welded together from two or three other written-off animals

+1, as long as it has been washed properly.

Croc is the one I wouldn't eat. That's wrong somehow.
Like to try ostrich though...
