Anyone know at what mileage the cambelt should be changed on a vauxhall corsa ? 1.4 sxi 16v twinport,2005 MY ???

40 or 60k thats not much good though is it?

LOL - I've googled without success too !!!!
its just hit 60k so chances are I will just get it done.The reason I asked is that I had heard that some of the engines are chain driven & didnt need it doing.

could well be i'm useless at fixing cars only know cos need my 02 astra changing every 40k and had to check with the mechanic

Change at 40K, make sure you also change the pulleys, tensioner and water pump too, Vauxhall do a kit to replace belt, rollers and tensioner, water pump will be extra but make sure you do the lot. May cost a little more short term but will save an absolute fortune if things go wrong long term. When they first came out they were check and change at 80K but there were so many problems this got halved by Vauxhall.

Do the right thing...
