Anybody know if this can be done cheaply?
My parents don't want the embuggerance of a contract phone. I had mentioned that they could buy a phone locally, but they are somewhat technophobic at the best of times.
Thanks in advance for any enlightenment...
I am not sure why buying a PAYG phone abroad should be a problem but if it is could they but a PAYG SIM only?
Or buy the PAYG phone and put it's SIM in their current phone?

Thanks for your common sense [lets call it what it is!]
Unfortunately, it's a generation thing. They have a "can't, don't, won't understand-this-sort-of-thing" approach to anything more than a simple cordless phone.
It's genuinely easier for me to sort this out and then to present them with a simple to use sorted phone.
