My boiler has a fan unit with a small motor. For years, each year, I have squirted a shot of WD40 in the worn noisy bearings. This minimises the noise very significantly.
I've been doing this coz you can only buy the whole fan assembly priced at £125+.
The frustrating things is that all it needs is a couple of £2 bearings, but it doesn't look like I can get at them and I'm not sure my bearing puller is the correct size.
Does anyone know of a supplier of cheap refurbed/alternative boiler spares?
It's a Gloworm Ultimate 80FF.

You might be better getting some proper lube in there
