In my garden this morning, my neighbour has a Budlier? over hanging my fence, sun was up, and warm at around 9am. These 3 were photographed in sequence.. Lovely things but wonder what species each is and if they are rare.

Found out now,
Top = Peacock
Middle = Red Admiral
Bottom = Painted Lady
All quite common.

yes, I was bored
I was in the garden with my camera cos my Granddaughter was with me and she was on her new bike.. did see the insects and thought I would try out the digital macro on my Ixus 60 as I had never used it but seen loads of great nature pics on STW. Otherwise may have merely observed them.
Seem to be loads of Peacocks around this year - had three land on me while reading in the garden this evening. Cabbage Whites don't get away with that.
