Argentina are a better team without Di Maria.

That's easy to say with hindsight. He played a blinder for RM. So deserved his place.

Are the cloggys wearing their normal strip? Looks a bit red.

I think that's just this TV.

Yep, but his decision making has been poor throughout this tournament, he has been too selfish and not picked up on runs by other players, Zableta has been picked out a couple of times tonight already and made dangerous runs and put decent crosses in, Di Maria completely ignored him in the previous games.

It is one of those hard decisions where a coach has too choose between a top player and the team. As the French coach did with Nasri, and appears to have got it right.

This game is becoming a bit, shall we say, attritional.

I am currently enduring, rather than enjoying, it.

I think my cheeky quid on Holland to win 5-1 may have been wasted

First yellow card...about bloody time.

Martins Indi may well see a red - with what he's been doing since kick-off, which is "go out and be a doorman".

0-0 starting to look a more realistic prediction! 🙁

That's a bit ambitious ... 3-1 or 2-1 might be more realistic. 😆

At 200-1 it was worth a punt.

Crikey 200-1 😯 . True, true ... 😆

Germany will win the tournament by the look of things by at least 3-0 unless the other team has 11 goalies ... 😆

You know it's bad when you take more interest in what cheese to have on your online grocery order.

So - what are Argentina trying to do? They don't seem to be committing anyone in the box?

Holland appear to have a policy of not crossing halfway. Occasionally they forget, realisation strikes, and they all rush to get it back into their own half again.

We had a thing like fishcakes with little cubes of halloumi in a few weeks ago. It was well weapon.

The NED shirt looks less orange when worn with white shorts.

Dear god. I love football, I really do, but this is awful. Has there been a chance yet?

Can't we just give it to Germany and be done

It's an interesting contrast between the geeky cyclists persevering with body parts obviously damaged and macho footballers appearing to be shot and in agony when someone stands on their foot.
