How can anyone have any trust in him?

He only got sacked twice for lying. Surely he has learnt his lesson?

I almost feel bad for him

I wouldn’t bother

Johnson ticks all the boxes for narcissistic personality disorder and sociopathy.

He is utterly devoid of a single shred of compassion or empathy and as Marina Hyde pointed out in a recent column, in his mind he’s the victim here. He was meant to fulfil his birthright to become PM and everything would be brilliant!

With a heavy heart, Johnson will always remind us who the real victim is: him

How dare all these people keep dying and spoiling his fun? It’s an outrage!

Boris looks beaten

He needs to be. To death if possible.

Still not sure we want Rishi in the job

Bring him on. Another tainted by his 'eat out to help out' disaster.

He's allegedly a high-functioning alcoholic.  The evidence for the high-functioning bit is very flimsy

I just hope he lives long enough for the inquest into his mismanaged Covid-19 response, associated corruption & general malfeasance

He is, allegedly, due up here in Scotland on an 'essential travel only' jolly tomorrow, Thursday 28th. He's not welcome here, nor his entourage. Press opportunities and attempts to politically capitalise on NHS Scotland's fantastically good work are not reasons for essential travel.

Shall we have a sweep on whether he’ll be donning a hard hat and hi-viz or a surgical gown?

I bet he’s going nowhere near a fishing port.

Hopefully he'll get deep fried and served up in a munchie box.

C'mon Scotland, we are rooting for you.

Being slapped to death with fish would be fitting.

I reckon he'll pitch-up at a remote wind farm to pitch his 'green' credentials and moon on a stick investment plans. Miles away from anyone so he actually won't meet any public for 'security' reasons. I think if he turned up at a fishing port in the North East he'd be at serious risk of getting locked in a freezer.

Let's hope he's going to St Kilda and gets left out there.

He really can't get anything right can be?

It's made clear that he's not really welcome to travel to Scotland at the moment, during a pandemic he's mishandled, just after buggering up their fishing industry too but he absolutely must go.

He's a mole for Scottish independent surely?

What a gigantic own goal.😁

I know it's not essential travel (neither is his trip) but it would be funny if a mob followed him around with "Boris is a c" signs like Janey godley and Trump

Apparently it's important that he is "visible and accessible" in Scotland during the pandemic. Accessible to people who didn't vote for him, who don't want him there and who want independence from his Westminster government. The guy is a clueless great walloping sex gibbon of the highest order

It's of absolutely no consolation to Scotland but a great many in England want this absolute greek tragedy of a "leader" gone too. Unfortunately a great many in England also enabled this **** to get to where he is now.

If Covid has a poster child, Boris is it.

He's going to announce

a road bridge from the Faroe Islands to Skye?

a bazillion new wind turbines, sadly to be constructed by one of his mates, instead of GE or Siemens?

a rejuvenation of the Scottish fishing industry, financed by the sale of fishing rights in Scottish waters to, say, Texas?

When I saw the photos of him dressed in protective kit yesterday my immediate reaction was ‘Its alive’

(It didn’t occur to me to cast him as the scientist)

Boris got it but the grim reaper let him be whether the same can be said of the opposition I don't know. Let's see how many of the opposition gets it and then see if grim reaper let them go. This is the harvest season for grim reaper and s/he will harvest.

The harvest season is not yet over ...

So independence isn't an issue for the majority of people. Well technically true worldwide even UK wide. In Scotland, mmm debatable.

Actually more of an issue is surviving his utter stupidity and arrogance. Both in the now and future.

John Crace in the guardian was quite funny:

“So, uh, I’m, uh, you know, it was very, very encouraging to see it. That’s, that’s … I may have done some other things as well while I have been here although I can’t immediately recollect what they are. It’s been an action-packed day and always a joy to see you.”

This was the UK’s very own Cicero talking. Sturgeon must be counting down the days until Johnson makes his next essential visit to Scotland. Much more of this and indyref 2 will be in the bag.

...an a depressing way. For someone who doesn't want to see Scotland to float off (if I lived there I'd vote independence like a shot, obv).

Yes, yes, you want Trump and Boris rather than anyone competent. You made that clear years ago. They could be shooting people on Fifth Avenue, or encouraging people to shake hands during this pandemic... and you'd still have a hard on for them... because...

He's a sort of Adrian Chiles if he'd had elocution lessons. A blithering idiot.

Yesterday summed up Boris Johnson perfectly.

As the Prime Minister in a time of national crisis, should I make a completely unnecessary 1000 mile journey, while telling everyone else not to leave their homes? No of course you bloody shouldn't you preening tit. The fact that the question was even being asked in the middle of a pandemic the day after the death toll hits 100,000 is a sorry reflection of the quality of 'leadership' in this country.

So I suppose that following his example its fine for me to now head off up the the Lake District or North Wales then?

It's been many years since I was last in a hospital or chemistry lab and even I was cringing at that. Like a kid being given a squeezy toy.

I would have said "more competent", if I wasn't worried it might imply that I had discovered some level of competence being shown by either Trump or Boris.

EDIT: "Less incompetent"... that's the phrase I should have used.

It’s the matter less worst.

There's truth in that. You still think Brump and Toris are the least worst?

No, wait, why am I bothering, of course of you do, he’s about your level of intellect after all

ElShalimo

Its rather more complex than that. Private court case ongoing to challenge that and Sturgeon has a plan which ( to oversimplify) is to pass a bill to hold one and then challenge the tory Cabal to go to court to stop it.

Even if Westminster wins that case and it by no means a forgone conclusion other avenues are still open

Re: IndyRef v2 – I thought you could only have a v2 if the UK Govt approves/allows it?

Yes, only with gov't approval so just say no.

However, as usual the Sturgeon fish keeps shouting and screaming frreeddoom! She will stay in power for as long as she can by banging on freeddommm ... then she gets her pension and retire happily at the end of the day. The next leader will follow suit doing the same thing, learned from the fish, and retire handsomely ... it goes on and on ... Very simple. If you wish to retire happily and loaded join SNP and keep on banging about freedoomm and your life is taken care of forever. I would.

I think we need to be a bit careful here, we need to separate the role of prime minister and Boris the person.

Most of us want nothing more than to never see Boris the person again, however there should be no off limits areas for him to travel to (or every where should be off limits). The fact it was Scotland he visited is no more consequential than visiting Berkshire.

Just to be clear on where I stand regarding Johnson, as I said in another thread I'd like to see his head on a spike, whilst said head is still attached to the rest of him.

I haven't checked yet but did Johnson remember, while doing his pointless unneccesary counterproductive jolly to Scotland, to criticise the SNP for being obsessed with independence, while he was taking a couple of days off his day job?

Glad he came up, it's part of his job to be visible where it counts.

Wee Krankie is a joke. Stirring up the usual anti English pish disguised as anti Tory pish.

Quicker she's gone the better.

It’s made clear that he’s not really welcome to travel to Scotland at the moment

I'd have made him a cuppa.

I know a lot of SNP voters… none of them are anti-English, and I have yet to hear the First Minister say anything I’ve considered anti-English, or trying to stir up anti-English “pish”.

Firstly, the "Wee Krankie" pish is playground humour at best.
Secondly, as a card carrying member of the SNP, I could assure you their is not a jot of anti English "pish", as evidenced by the English Scots for Yes group.

As my Scottish colleagues used to say "Are you talking about my dear leader (referring to Sturgeon), take me to your leader (BoJo) ..." (in a friendly conversation when we asked him to show his passport when he talked about independence)

I like the way he used the term leader at every opportunity 🤣
