inflation is starting to gather momentum
RPI jumped to 2.5% in July then 3.5% in August. Most economists were taken by surprise and most forecasts were hastily amended upwards. This 'government' will try to blame covid for everything, but it won't add up when price inflation and supply chain issues aren't as severe in France. The real-world effect of Brexit is just to make everything more expensive for the end customer in the UK.
Sure, there are die hard bellends who still rant on about remoaners and traitors, but everyone is going to see their family finances squeezed and there may be a very thin Christmas ahead. I'm just hoping that enough ordinary folk begin to see this for what it is before too much damage is done. We need a Lib-Lab alliance more than we ever have.
If we can get rid of Johnson and his rabble, I really want to see them being chased down Whitehall by a baying mob.
Also don't forget we've just had the mother of all fake property booms with the stamp duty holiday. Loads of people have just mortgaged themselves even more to the hilt. If the BoE raise interest rates, utilities prices go up and commodity prices stay high because of Brexit, we are heading for riotous times.
riotous times
When that public order bill will come in handy for Priti Nasty and her handler.
We need a Lib-Lab alliance more than we ever have.

Much as I like the image, only a fool would really want to see that. Tensions in the country are going to be very high as it is.
There's a photo of the oaf in the Oval Office with about 20 other people, all of whom except him are wearing masks.
He is genuinely as ignorant as he looks.
He's a pile of rags, a throttlebottom.
There has to be a reckoning when even his most ardent supporters have to weigh up ‘what has HE actually delivered?’
An 80 seat majority in the house of commons. Inexplicable though that is to anyone with an IQ that exceeds their shoe size.
He meant every word of that speach.
Actually the only important part was "lucrative" now there's the rub. The Kermit waffle was dead cat distractor, lucrative was the message.
lucrative was the message
There are consultancies all over the place 'advising' investors on wind farms and the rest. All at arm's length, naturally.
the natives are restless the Daily Fail are running with the headline "Winter of Incompetence!" and the ire is directed at Johnson.
Blimey, things must be really bad!! Have they actually given up blaming the EU?

The Wail have had him in their sights for a few months for different things. Presumably they have another Tory leader/prime minister in their pocket that they want to replace him with
Brazilian turkeys for Christmas, anyone?
https://www.theguardian.com/food/2021/sep/24/boris-johnson-asked-for-emergency-food-deal-says-jair-bolsonaro-brazilian-president
Between bolsanaro and johnson, I would believe the brazilian.

I think they just like reminding him he is expendable if he doesnt dance to their wishes.
Still not much use having a boatload of turkeys stuck in the port (as no truckers),it’s just the same BS as the tunnel to NI(customs checks&paperwork) a solution for what isn’t the problem.
How much longer can the king go on in the ‘altogether’ 🙂
A smattering of visas to get you over Christmas but the rates are going to be stellar.
I think they just like reminding him he is expendable if he doesnt dance to their wishes.
I’m not totally sure he’s expendable.
He is the embodiment of Brexit, I think without a powerful figurehead(BS’er/Showman) they won’t be able to keep the pretence alive that Brexit has been done.
But if the plan is to actually quietly rollback to join the CU & SM then he is and will be used to absolve them of his sins.
Presumably they have another Tory leader/prime minister in their pocket that they want to replace him with
My guess is they think he is going soft on immigration
Wait until you see what utter bastard the Fail will have as their preferred candidate.
Gove? What enough people don't realise about Gove is that this is the second incarnation of the rubber-faced one.
First was the zealot for victorian values, but he was rightly dismissed as a stroker. Now we are seeing the fully cynical profiteer version.
A stroker and a blowhard it seems. A very nasty piece of work.
nasty piece of work
Any Tories that aren’t?
Anyone seen him lately?
I think there was a tweet about Space Force Britain today, but beyond that?
Nope, he's gone to ground I think?
I think the great British public need to check their sheds/ fridges in case he's trapped somewhere.
he's done a two minute piece for the bbc looks like he's got 2 black eyes. Not sleeping well ?

the 1000 yard stare after the phone call from the dirty digger "get a grip or every thing i've got on you will be all over the front pages."
He's reappeared talking about 'slightly misleading accounts' leading to the fuel crisis.
In fairness the ****er can be considered an expert on misleading accounts...
I wish the useless sack of shit would just piss off.
“he’s done a two minute piece for the bbc looks like he’s got 2 black eyes. Not sleeping well ?“
He buried his mum last Monday and has a one year old baby. I’m sure we’d all deal with it a lot better.
Guarantee he's hitting the booze hard right now. Everything is on the verge of falling apart at the same time and he's got no choice but to deal with it somehow. While it will be great watching that happen I fear for the rest of us as it will bring us all down with him.
Yeah it's all utterly pathetic and plumbing new depths of piss poor governance. Govt is either outright denying problems exist or avoiding any media. The reason, that it's labour conference, is risible. No pmqs either
Fat turd needs to burn a few fifty pound notes in front of some beggars to cheer himself up
Well that's Xmas ruined then

I doubt its the first Christmas he's ruined.
He buried his mum last Monday and has a one year old baby. I’m sure we’d all deal with it a lot better.
I'm surprised that hasn't been weaponised yet. Have we finally found a limit? Or is something worse just around the corner?
Save Xmas?
It's like Groundhog Year.
I got my dates wrong I my earlier post.
His mum’s funeral was on Monday this week.
On Monday and Tuesday the media were reporting on his apparent absence from the public eye / “avoiding the media” - most of the journalists would have course have known full well where he was which speaks volumes.
I think the day after she died he announced the pact with Australia and the USA so presumably had been a bit busy with the details of that and handling the news of her death at the same time.
Like I said in my previous post - how many of us would have handled the death of a (by all accounts) loved parent any better?
By being competent and therefore able to take time off, rather than lurching from hubris induced crisis to crisis?
Possibly also by having competent colleagues who could take over for a short period if necessary?
Its supposed to be an industrialised nation with a diverse advanced economy and robust democracy, not a despotic banana Republic.
Its a shambles.
No sympathy for Boris - a good leader would have surrounded himself with competents on top of their brief; not just a bunch of nodding sycophants. The first role of any executive is to ensure that the organisation functions smoothly and is resilient to any shocks and identified risks. We’re seeing policy on the hoof - briefing the media about the US Trade deal prior to the Biden meeting just shows it’s just empty rhetoric as he trollies from one crisis to another and all efforts are simply to stop the whole country going off the rails. The only problems is I feel that we’ve got a lot further/worse to go before the ‘grown ups’ finally show up. Speaking of which, where is Hurtmore these days - or is he going to rise like Lazarus, like the fictional grown-ups he promised 😉

Yep, there is a deputy prime minister after all, and I'm sure he got the job based on his competence and proven track record and definitely not just because he was a really enthusiastic and shameless liar for brexit.
Pretty much any chance of me feeling sympathy for Johnson has gone.
As per above - a competent PM with a competent team could afford to take a few days off at any time. As he has built this entire shitshow on lies and his team on their willingness to propagate those lies, then the resilience just isn't there. And it isn't there by design.
He's a wretched excuse for a prime minister and a man.
I do hope he is wallowing in a pit of total misery and finally understanding that you can’t hide behind wealth or in a fridge for a everything that goes wrong.
In reality he’s probably going through the will seeing how much richer he is going to be.
I do hope he is wallowing in a pit of total misery
Much as he's a loathsome man and a danger to the country and everyone in it, I can't wish ill on him for the death of a parent.
For everything else, most definitely.
I don't actively wish him sorrow or harm. It is just that I cannot find it in myself to have any sympathy. He embodies so many loathsome qualities - sloth, cynicism, opportunism, vanity, bigotry, dismissiveness, conceit to name but a few.
I do hope he is wallowing in a pit of total misery and finally understanding that you can’t hide behind wealth or in a fridge
You know, every time I see that written down...It makes me pause and say ..."yeah, than man that's now PM hid in a fridge to avoid having to answer a question..." What a state
It is difficult to feel sympathy for someone who wallows in unearned privilege and has such little regard for ordinary people. Those whose support he courts he lies to and laughs at behind their backs, those he 'others' in a bid to win his supporters he applies labels to and whips up emotion against.
He is a lazy, arrogant, cynical piece of work and he needs a good hiding.
