Anyone own a 325i, I'm thinking of buying a 2008 and was wondering what mpg to expect. It has 108k miles
Thanks.

But why?

Edit: apologies for having fallen for such an obvious troll.

If you are thinking if buying a car like that you shouldn't be worrying about MPG. If you worry about MPG buy something smaller and less powerful.

Got 330i and doing 25mpg combined but loving it. You might get 30 but take mastiles_fanylion advice.

Been searching for an estate car to carry wife, kids and dogs and came across that car, I was looking for a diesel but as petrol is cheaper to buy and service, it's got me thinking.
If people are only getting 20-25mpg I'd probably stick to diesels but if you can get 25-38 then petrol will win.

I am on the iPod at the min but will post up a pic later. I have a 2006 330i and it will do 40+ on a run. In stop start town traffic it is quite poor 23 or so but overall I am pretty pleased. And don't forget that the inline 6 provides an amazing soundtrack, whilst the rear wheel drive and balanced handling make for a superb drive. I love mine, if you couldn't tell already!

I had an 07 auto 325 coupe and over a year of ownership was only managing 27-28 mpg. That was with the 2.5 litre engine. Being an 08, I'm pretty sure that will have the 3 litre engine which is (I think) a detuned version of the engine from the 330. It is certainly more efficient than mine was and the manual would be a little bit better again. I would expect you to average about 33mpg maybe a bit more.
I think the bits which make it more economical also make it slightly less reliable than the older petrol engines, but nothing major (certainly no less reliable than the diesels).

Edit: the reliability issues being as per the previous post.

It's an auto with paddle shift. The seller did mention it's just had new coils.

If it's a good price and you are happy with the running costs then go for it!
