Amen to that, I can not bloody wait, if it’s half as good as Planet Earth II it’ll be incredible watching.

I'd heard people talk about the soundtrack already. Sounds a bit odd at first but blimey, what an impact.

Will it be Sir David’s last series though? I truly hope not but fear it may be.

I imagine he'll be able to do the intros and some voiceovers for a while yet. I think he's done some purely studio ones too.

Yep. The iPlayer trailer is amazing.
I think it's in 4k and is probably the first thing we've seen on our 4k TV that is at the proper resolution.

Can't wait to see the series!

Can't wait either.

Just wish I could persuade Mrs Mad to get a bigger telly.

Was lucky enough to see the first episode last week and it's very good. I prefer Planet Earth as it covers more subjects but there's still quite a few amazing moments in the first episode of BP2, and a clip from episode 2 that looks literally unreal.

One question I have that the internet doesn't seem to know is will it be streamed with 4k HLG on iPlayer? The Planet Earth trial has been round long enough for them to have worked out any issues you would think?

God I hope that soundtrack with vocals isn't prominent in the series, it is ****ing awful, and distracts from the atmosphere. Could ruin the series IMO.

Stunning, bodes well for the series; advances in tech are apparent in the trailer, drone shots, for example.
Going to be essential viewing, that.

I saw Sir David about 3 years ago in Sommerset House, just after his brother died.

He didn't look at all well.

We are blessed to have had him for so long

I bought Planet Earth 2 on Blu-Ray when I bought my new TV. Ohmydeargod it's simply stunning. The kids love it. Can't wait to see BP2
