Google seems to have acquired an annoying blue animated arrow. Does anyone know how to get rid of it?
change search settings to turn off "Google Instant"
click the gears icon in the top right on chrome, search settings.
Hmm, that would also turn off the instant searching thing, which is mildly useful.
Plus at least for me, there's no sign in the search settings of any option to turn that off.
other search engines are available.
ah, sorry, I was talking about the little arrow on the results.
never seen that before.
Im guessing its to get you to create a google account.
WHy not use an add blocker to block the animation?
Thanks - I think that might work, although it seems a bit like overkill.
Come back altavista, all is forgiven!
I have an adblocker installed on Chrome but the arrow is there pointing me to my Google+ account which has two fifths of bugger all information on it. 🙂
Exactly. You+ just seems so terribly narcissistic.
I like it, it's a deconstructed image of an arrow..
Whats bugging you about it??
I think I'm too stupid to know what the difference is between a regular arrow and a deconstructed one 🙂
But every time I load google, it does its funky animated swoosh pointing me to the top left corner.
The novelty value wears off very quickly!
