I'm off to Las Vegas soon and am planning on keeping a blog, and hopefully keeping it interesting enough for some good traffic to the site.
I've started setting it up at www.roweash.com
What kind of content should I include to keep it interesting?
Any tips for a novice blogger?
Write interesting stuff?
How are you going to get people to look at it?
If you're a heavy FB/Twitter user with a big network of web-savvy friends then you're halfway there already.
Unfortunately I can't help with the other half - I'd be rich if I could.

What are you doing in Las Vegas and how long are you going for? Lots has been written about it so you'll need very well written, interesting content to stand out.
Think about who you are writing for. I write mine aimed at friends (though really, I write it because I enjoy it), the odd stranger finds it interesting too.
What's the theme? What will make it stand out? How often will you update it? What will keep people coming back?
EDIT - Just had a look. Are you just going there for a short holiday? Will the blog be dead after the holiday? And why bother with an advert box?
Thanks for comments, it is a short holiday I'm going on, I imagine I'll add more photos and a bit more content after I get back but it will essentially stop once the holiday is over.
The ads are because I'm experimenting with google adsense as well as blogging and if it makes a few pence then all the better.
Unless people are interested in what you do/write already, why are they going to read your blog ?
You could contact organisations with an interest in gambling and see if they have an interest - you could end up as a real life gambler and people may be intersted to watch you loose all your money. That may generate some following.
Of course if you win loads they wont want to follow, people are only intersted in others plight and misfortune
Ohh and I would also learn to speel rite.

As it could be at the most a grammatical error, but given that the title isn't actually a sentence it's debatable, I would make sure you are correct yourself before giving advice to others

Sister Wendy has the right sort of advice for threads like this.
If you're going to Vegas it has to be about sex, partying, gambling or the mafia. Anything else and you'll look like a right dullard.
I think the adverts are kind of off-putting if that was a decision you made?
I have a blog.. incredibly unsuccesful it is too, I use twitter and facebook to let my mates know that I've posted more rubbish ๐
good luck though, sounds like a great trip!
As it could be at the most a grammatical error, but given that the title isn't actually a sentence
Making it, therefore, not an error of grammar but one of punctuation.
But, of course, you knew that, didn't you?

Go on then, I can't find what you are referring to, please enlighten me.
Damn Mastiles, you beat me to it!
As somewhere just to keep a diary of your trip and to host photos etc. for future personal reference then go for it. If you're expecting any visits from strangers (outside of search engine crawlers) then prepare for disappointment.
Is there anything actually unique about your visit? I mean if you had come up with an amazing 'cheat the casino' idea and were going to use a hidden camera and post up results I'd be mildly interested, as long as it showed the casino heavies breaking your kneecaps to :p But come on just a visit to Vegas? What's the point...?
Take pictures of the drug-addled 40+ prostitutes you are likely to sleep with?
If he's going to get through that many he'll not have time to blog.
