The Australian Olympic Committee (AOC) executive board on Friday is expected to support a proposal which asks athletes to sign a legal document revealing any past doping.

If an athlete doesn't sign a statutory declaration - stating they have never used performance-enhancing drugs - they won't be selected for the Olympics.

Australian coaches and officials will also have to sign a declaration before being appointed to Olympic roles.

So taking the Team Sky thing to the whole olympics. No mention of what happens if you confess past sins though.

Is it to protect the sport or those in charge?

It's like the declaration that you used to sign before you landed in the US. If you then are shown to have lied it creates an automatic response.

I'd say theres a degree of immunity if you confess. But its probably a good thing for sport in light of recent events. Hopefully it will do a lot for cycling as it seems to be the main culprit for doping.

I've always wanted to be able to confess to "moral turpitude"
