Given it was one of 6 officers maybe they should all just be tried collectively? I'd be quite happy to find them all guilty.
It still makes me angry that the Met 'got away' with covering this crime up 30 years on.
That this has taken so long to get to this stage, is a ****ing disgrace. His murderers have been walking around scot-free for all this time. ๐
the other 5 are accessories id imagine,
yes they should be charged no one should be above the law and higher standards should be set for those whose duty it is to uphold the law.
Unfortunately we have a long and ignoble tradition of incompetent agressive thugs within our police getting away with violent acts against citizens. It is sahme this has been covered up for so long as it tarnishes the generally good opinion of the UK police.
Why not? They should be tried, the police are still looking for the murderers of PC Blakelock, so in the interests of even handedness they should take action here - lets face it, they can probably tell which police were involved without much of an investigation anyway.
