Bill Ward possibly has one. Had to buy it himself no doubt!

Bill - absent
Tony - dealing with cancer
Ozzy - hows he still going?
Gezzer - looks well considering

Probably the last time this will happen

I saw the Dio line up in 82 so I'd rather have that memory thanks

They go on general sale tomorrow (I found a pre-sale link as I follow their page on Facebook).

They are the one band I didn't manage to see as a kid (first gig was Maiden on Beast on the Road tour and have been to easily 150+ gigs since) but somehow never managed to see Sabbath. Very disappointed about Bill Ward for sure, but still I am not going to let that spoil things.

£50? It's what we could all spend on a nice meal or a big night out.

MF, could you email me the link, pretty please?

Remember as a kid, taking time off school, sitting in a field in Bishampton, in Worcestershire, listening to them Rehearsing in a barn.

Never seen them live either.

You can't recreate the 70s! I've seen them a few times including the Royal Albert Hall gig following which all rock bands were banned. 😀

They're headlining the last day at Download, will be interesting as I'm too young to remember them first time round!

Some of us aren't old enough to have seen them in the 70s...

I thought "Warm up" gigs were done in seedy back street boozers/clubs not the O2. Christ even this has now succumb to corporate BS. (Other bands are possibly available who may also have done arena "warm up" gigs).

It's the 02 Academy, not an arena.

The O2 Academy Birmingham has three performance areas.
Academy1
Academy1 which is by far the largest performance area in the complex, and has a total capacity of 3,009. There is a tiered-seating balcony, with its own bar, toilet and cloakroom facilities, which has a capacity of 600.

Academy2
Academy2 is a smaller room, and caters for audiences of up to 600. In Academy2 there is standing room only, although there is a raised disabled viewing area.

Academy 3
Academy 3 is the smallest of the three stages, with a total capacity of 289.

Never seen Sabbath sadly. Missed my chance in 78 at Hanley Vicci Hall for the "Never Say Die" tour, poor old school boy couldn't afford. Everyone at school next day were raving about the support who blew the Sabbs off the stage. Some new US band called Van Halen. A classic night I'm lead to believe.

Saw Ozzy's Blizzards of Oz on their first tour at Stoke Kings Hall. Blimey was he stoned. How he managed to stop himself from walking straight off the front of the stage when he came on I will never know. I wonder now if a roadie had some fishing line attached to him to stop him going walkees.

The academy will be an easy one for Tony as he only live 15 minutes from there, I should just knock on his and ask to go to their practice sessions as he lives about a minute away from me.

I went to see Tony in a low key gig he played, most excellent and such a fantastic guitar sound to this day.

I stand corrected MF, sorry - when I see O2 this and MEN then I assume arenas. Don't do gigs anymore (bit of a crowd phobia sadly these days) so not in tune with venues.

It should still be a grotty pub in Dudley though IMHO.

Yes I guess it very much depends on his state on the night!
