Hi

So, the wife & I want to see The Chemical Brothers on the Friday and I also want to see Rodrigo Y Gabriela on the Sunday. We'd have to take our 6 and 9 yr old boys along so we wanted to see what the STW massive's thoughts were on The Big Chill?

Neither of us have really done the festival thing and are not sure whether the whole experience would be a bit overwhelming for the young ones (or us even). We're not planning to camp all w/e, being fairly local, we were going to have day tickets only.

I'm assuming The CB's and RyG will be brilliant, just not sure about the rest of it. Could just save £250+ on extending the Malvern's night ride bringing ear trumpet and binoculars!

Cheers
Camster

6 and 9 wouldn't be a problem, they'll love it.

Cheers folks. They don't announce the running order so we're not sure how late we'd have to stay - I imigine I'll have the 6 yr old on my shoulders when he fades!

Wish my parents took me to festivals, so I take mine (to The Greenman), they love it, so do we.

My son was 7 last year and was a bit too tired to really enjoy the Flaming Lips at 10:30, where as my 9 year old daughter bounced around on my shoulders for an hour and absolutely loved them. We've been going for 4 years now and I think we'll all see the headliners each night this year.

We tend to eat a decent lunch in the tent made from food we take along and then eat out each evening, amazing food, rather than miss something by going back to the tent, I'm sure the Big Chill is similar.

SBrock, yup, I think Rodgab are amazing so I don't really want to miss them. It'll just be me and the kids as the better half is less than keen!
