WTF? Can't even work out what's happening.
imagine you're holding it, and left tilts it left etc,
the idea is to 'tilt' it in the correct way, so you can join the tiles, to make bigger numbers. Possibly better on smart phones / tablets, where you simply swipe.
It took me a few gos to understand what you need to do.

good going, I've had one 256 and one 128 on the same game, but haven't been able to get the second 128

Yes it is and not necessarily, you don't have to finish with two squares, use whatever you want.
Perhaps shouldn't have started playing this - good spot...

Yes, there must be a "perfect" minimum score for acheiving the goal.
My last attempt below I've got all the tiles required, they're just in the wrong place.

my best is still 512. I'm imagining the strategy is to keep the high tiles as close as possible?
Highest score is first time round was 2000 something, with the biggest tile about 512 I think.
Trying to get the lowest possible score is a good challenge too.
2nd time round 1024, with a score of about 10,000. Theres a method I feel.

I have been playing threes! As per Jamie's recommendation. My eyes are bleeding, but I must has *one* more game...

I managed it last night, but while I was running around the house with my shirt over my head, I forgot to screenshot it.
No idea what the score was. Just before I did the final combination of the last 3 pairs, it was 18,xxx
I even dreamt about it last night! All those sliding doubling tiles...
