Folkses, any ideas of the best way I can arrange a courier service to pick up a bike in the UK and deliver it somewhere else in the UK?

I just purchased a 1991 bike from Fleabay, (mid-life crisis style, it's a carbon copy of my first MTB!) but the seller said I'd have to arrange my own shipping after he's packed it.

Seem to remember someone saying they shipped their's by Fedex for 15.00. Surely not?

Any experiences/recommendations gratefully received...

On-wards & up-wards,

Daren

nope... just used them in the past and had no problems. though they're not a courier company, more a quick and easy way to check the prices of multipe agents in one place... their system works well and is easy to use 🙂

You will need to know the box dimensions from the seller. Most companies have limits (e.g. senditnow.com) others like Parcel2go.com and Interparcel.com charge you extra (say an extra £10). If you can meet senditnow.coms size limits then its good value at about £12 and includes £150 insurance cover. Standard cover on most couriers seems to be only £50 and is pretty expensive to increase to any reasonable amount - perhaps not an issue on a 1991 bike!
