Started a reconciliation with my adult (24yr old) daughter.
Lots of talk and tears - on both sides; glimpses of a better future.
Long slow process but a shared objective.

I managed to successfully bleed my brakes for the first time. It does not compare....you win. AND best wishes and luck to both of you.

Saved my life. A council-face woman in her old astra turned into a road I was crossing (walking to work), with no indication and no slowing down. Luckily I saw her entering the road and I managed to jump forward - I could literally feel the bumper touching my legs...

The OP makes my decision to have a second cup of tea seem a bit less winning... 🙁

Ran to work, 5.5k in, slightly further home tonight. It's the first time in nearly 10 months due to very persistent plantar fasciitis. On the plus side I could still ride and I can ride off road all the way to work.

You're definitely winning.

Best achievement today is continuing my 2 month record of taking the stairs at work (14 flights) despite horrible DOMS

Good work OP.

Mine, took my 3 yo daughter to nursery on the bike, quite a regular thing but she still loves it.

Talked a kid out of battering lumps out of another one, got a kid back into a subject they'd been put out of, got a class sitting quietly chatting because their teacher had basically walked out. Oh received a £2500 delivery of dofe kit.

Had a really nice cup of coffee.

Might slope off for an early lunch.

Walked to the shops which was a huge effort, as I've had nearly a week of lurgy and still feel in pain with little energy.

Applying for a new job. My boss came in when I was filling out the application, he left swiftly rather than his usual 10 minute chat at lunch time.

Maybe he's off to celebrate!

I rode my CXer.
I ate pie.
I took some calls.
I wrote some words.
I've had a shower and washed my hair.
I'm watching "Maze Runner, the scorched trails"
I have the heating on 28C.
OP wins the internet for a day.

Delivered a presentation on sustainable development to 25 uni students to kick off a design competition. I'm not an academic or lecturer but it was really good to go round the groups later and find that they took it all on board.
Feel quite chuffed that despite my stumbling delivery the information landed 🙂

OP - here's hoping you get plenty more good days with your daughter 😀

Similar but not on the same scale - I was told by my physio that I can start walk/run/walk sessions again after 5 weeks out with injury. I am meant to be running the London Marathon in April.

😯

Just been able to give £100k between 5 really good charities. It's not my cash, but I got the job of deciding on beneficiaries.

Donated blood this afternoon. This made session 15 and a new vein choice by the nurse. Turned out to be the right decision as pint of blood drained into little bag within about 3 minutes.

Smugness level: Ultra.
