We have always had dog(s) and cat(s) at home, but never felt the need for pet insurance, figuring that self insuring was overall cheaper.
Well this last week that theory has been tested!
Our British Blue kitten is VERY ill at the vets and with costs already over £1000 the topic of insurance has come up at home!
We have a British Lilac kitten too, and a 5 year old Labrador. Who is best for insurance? I think we would like whole life cover as the lesser policies don't look to be worth the paper they are written on.

Generally start with something like pet plan and work down. Read all the docs and check exclusions and inclusions even after personal recommendations as things change.
