Do we need 3d? ,as ive read on another thread its already on the way out in japan,so do i wait? ,what do i do?.
3D will stay, but glasses-free is where the future is.
3D won't stay - it is just a fad.
I will state that i haven't used a 3d TV, but as a glasses wearer anything that needs me to wear special glasses over my normal glasses can go jump.
I have a 3d TV, not worth it imo, I only ever watch it in 2d/normal mode!
Didnt bother with 3D when we bought a new one earlier this year. Figured it just wouldnt get used, after the first few occasions.
Bought this Samsung one after reading plenty of reviews online. Shop told me the only way to get the internet based functions working was with a £50 WiFi adapter. Needless to say this went back after I discovered any USB WiFi dongle will work. Has an ethernet cable now anyway.
Plays films/music etc, from the PC. Not an expert but was very easy to set it all up.
Samsung and Panasonic are the two brands to choose from. Both great at the top of their ranges.
Very happy with our Sony. Great picture quality and some really nifty Internet based content. Really easy to use too if you get the free smart phone remote app.
It's 3d, only because it was a fantastic offer but it's fun to watch with the right films (proper 3d ones, not post production crap)
