I'm getting Married in August.
What's the best destination for a stag-do in the UK that isn't Bristol, Liverpool, Blackpool, Glasgow or London?
Also, what activities are there for the Saturday having hit it hard the previous night. Already done go-karting and paintballing.
Not looking for anything tacky, i.e. Newquay and certainly not an adult weekend at Taunton Butlins, which I did two years ago and still possess the mental scars.
All the best.
Coasteering and sea kayaking in Pembrokeshire? preseliventure.co.uk
The instructors are great 😉
I am heading HERE and staying in the roundhouse, spot of biking at mabie and Maybe (Mabie) some quad biking, clay pidgeon shooting on the sunday.
Whilst you may not fancy Newquay, surfing is a good morning after activity as it really clears a hangover.
I'm told Newcastle on Tyne is the 2nd most popular Stag destination in Europe, behind only Prague!
Possibly something to do with the local lasses wearing belts instead of skirts, and thinking that you and your mates are mega rich if you can afford a night in a travel lodge for one of them's Stag Do! 😉
LOL sorry to anyone from Newcastle... Have some friends who were working there on secondment for a while, said come Friday and Saturday night it was Stag Do central, and didn't the local girls know it!
I went White water rafting in Bala. Trails are near by if that way inclined, but we didn't. Couple of small towns for drinking lots as well as back at bunkhouse. Walked up Snowdon on the Sunday. Not necessarily the most drunken or messy stag, but was right up my street
Oh, and congrats
I know you said not London, but: London Beer Festival beginning of August. I had mine there last year preceeded by a burn up the Thames in a fast boat with the James Bond music tootling out the speakers. Followed after that by comedy night at the Bedford with lots and lots of jugs of beer. All capped off with a few drinks at the Pear Tree in Hammersmith. Whole weekend cost £100 each (admittedly stayed at friend's who have pads in the smoke).
We were pretty keen on driving cars and motorbikes as fast as possible around the Nuremburg Ring but all costed up, it was pushing £400 for three days. There's an mtb trail that goes round the track, so there's something there for the cyclists as well as the petrol heads (and both).
Had a very memorable one in Cheltenham involving golf, quad-biking and paint-balling followed by a couple of excellent bars and clubs. Could use it as a base for kayaking, mountain-biking or those 'go-ape'(?) things in the Forest of Dean.
Had another lovely one in Bath involving an afternoon watching the rugby followed by a few beers.
Had a memorable one for all the wrong reasons staying near Towcester with the evening entertainment in Northampton - the best man nearly got a good kcking for his complete ineptitude.
