Best Nespresso-compatible pods?

I bought an Outin portable espresso maker to keep me caffeinated on an upcoming trip. It takes proper grind coffee but to minimise faff, I want <shelters from pitchforks> to use Nespresso-type pods. I'm not so keen on the actual Nestle ones, but I'm sure there are independent producers that make a better one. Any recommendations?

I'm reasonably sure I haven't found the "best" pods, but my current favourite are probably Lavazza Oro (gold).

We tried Illy ones recently. A bit cheaper and a nice coffee.

the best ones I found were starbucks blonde roast (this is if you are after the sweeter light roast things)

The actual nesspresso capsules have generally been the best unfortunately, although the patent in the capsule shape hasggone, theres other parts of the capsule that are still patented, and apparently the grind consisntency in the nestle pods is freakishly good.

Horsham do good coffee, they also sell pods. Whether they put the good coffee in the pods I cannot confirm. It's somewhere I'd give a try though.

Before we got a new stove and I reverted to my old moka pot, I used these guys. Felt slightly better about using disposable ponds on the basis they were seconds that may have been discarded…

Not a pod officionado but have taken pods from wonky coffee and rave coffee when visiting family with such machines and preferred them to the nestle ones

Rave would be my choice. Plenty of variety with them, you should find something you like.

I’ve been buying beans from Rave for ages and never saw that they have pods. Better go to Specsavers!!

My preferred is either the Starbucks one’s or Tesco finest.

I used Nespresso for several years. In that time, I tried loads of alternatives, but most were nowhere near as good as the Nespresso ones. But it also takes some experimentation to find which Nespresso ones you like best.

I still have the machine in the house, but rarely use it any more. Back to filter and Mokka pots for the past couple of years.
