Ansmann is all you need to know for batteries and a charger

The best bar none, have a look here

The best disposable batteries are Energizer Lithium.
They are not rechargable and are expensive, but very good.

Not sure if this helps..........

possible word of caution - seem to recall a post sometime back on here about some lights (assumption) not taking reusables - they are sometimes a slightly bigger diameter and if fit is tight- i thought boll@x until went and checked with my tesco cheapie - waits for an expert

Not an expert but these are enough for what I need (2500mha, 1.5v AA's) - http://www.strikalite.co.uk/prodcat_type/18/ALL/0/NiMH_Batteries.html

As antigee mentions watch for the thicker/greater diameter when putting in torches. They will fit with some grinding/filing work to the inside of the torch though.

If they are two big..(tesco style) take the plastic cover off and replace with a cover of parcel tape, it's the right width and does the job, slides in sweet 😉
